Davin migrated to Australia in 2007 from Indonesia. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a degree of Bachelor of Commerce in 2010. He then worked in the finance and investment industry for more than three years.

In 2014, he took a different turn by pursuing a career in the legal industry. He completed the Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice from the Australian National University, during which he established and managed his consultancy firm, providing education and migration services for international students and graduates.

He subsequently gained great exposure to complex and adversarial immigration matters while working with Accredited Specialists in Immigration Law. Throughout the time, he found himself representing corporate clients concerning audits, sanctions, and other offences under the Migration Act and Regulations. Coupled with his experience and background in finance, quite often he also represents shareholders and investors with business and investment migration visas.

He also regularly provides counsel on immigration law to fellow practitioners and migration agents.
